Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G: First mass-produced phone with Snapdragon 780G

Xiaomi is going to release their newest mid-range smartphones, the Lite version of their newest Mi 11 series. The Mi 11 Lite lineup will have two representatives, the Mi 11 Lite and Mi 11 Lite 5G. Both of them will without a doubt be great, if not the best phones in the mid-range. Xiaomi is also the first company to mass-produce smartphones with the newest Snapdragon 780G, the newest mid-range 5G chipset, that can easily outperform some of last year’s flagship chipsets.

Xiaomi announced both of them on March 29. They also revealed that the expected release date is set to April 16. We also know the approximate prices, Mi 11 Lite should be around 340$, and the 5G version is set to be around $400. They come with different color options with makes them stand out from each other. Mi 11 Lite comes with 3 very unique color variants: Boba Black, Peach Ping, and Bubblegum Blue. On the other hand, the Mi 11 Lite 5G has 3 completely different color options: Truffle Black, Mint Green, and Citrus Yellow.

Specifications

Display

Both versions of the new Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite will accompany 6.55-inches Super AMOLED displays, with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. Those incredible displays feature HDR10, 90HZ adaptive refresh rate, and 85.3% screen-to-body ratio. The only difference when it comes to screens is that the basic version comes with Gorilla Glass 5 protection while the 5G version comes with Gorilla Glass 6 protection.

Camera

Cameras are the same on both of the Mi 11 Lite smartphones. They feature a triple camera setup on the back: 64MP main PDAF camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, and 5MP macro camera. These incredible camera setups have Dual-LED flashes, HDR, and panorama modes. They can shoot 4k videos at 30 fps, and 1080p videos at up to 120 frames per second. On the front, they are equipped with 16MP/20MP selfie camera, depending on which version you chose. Both selfie cameras feature HDR and panorama modes built-in. Mi 11 Lite selfie camera can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps, and the 5G version can do the same but on 60 fps.

Configuration

The basic Mi 11 Lite is powered by Snapdragon 732G, last year’s best mid-range chipset. Paired with an Adreno 618 GPU this chipset will do a great job for a majority of users. If you are more of a heavy user, Mi 11 Lite would without a doubt be a better option. It comes with a Snapdragon 780G, the newest and strongest chipset in mid-range, this chipset paired with incredible Adreno 642 makes the best possible mid-range system. They both come with up to 8GB of RAM and a variety of storage options, up to 256GB on the 5G version and, up to 128GB on the basic version. Storage also won’t be a problem since you can always expand it using a micro-sd card.

Battery Capacity

Both of the newest Xiaomi’s mid-range beast have 4250 mAh batteries. These for today’s standard normal-sized batteries should last you about a day or even two with some normal usage on both of the phones. What’s even better is that they both support 33W fast charging, meaning that they can recharge from 0%-100% in less than an hour.

AnTuTu Benchmark

AnTuTu Benchmark is the best way to define how powerful a telephone is. It gives your phone a numerical score based on its specifications. People use it for comparing your device’s speed and performance with other cell phones on the market. According to some rumors about AnTuTu  Benchmark scores, Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite will have a score of around 355k and Mi 11 Lite 5G will have a score of around got a score of around 500k. We can see that there is a huge performance boost that you get buying the 5G instead of the basic version.
