Price and release date
Honor X10 5G was launched on May 26 this year. It comes in 3 color variants: Blue, Orange, Black, and Silver. The lowest price right now is $320. Honor X10 Max and Honor X10 Pro are coming this year too. Actually there is no launch date mentioned for either phone yet, but we expect to hear more in the following days.
Honor X10 5G comes with a 6.63-inch LTPS IPS LCD display, having a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 20: 9 screen ratio. It has a good viewing experience and a pixel density of 397PPI, which adds crispness and clarity. The screen-to-body ratio is 84.7%, which is great. Aluminosilicate glass protects both the front and back of the phone. The screen also has a 90HZ refresh rate which will add noticeably smoother scrolling and animations.
For the Honor X10 Max 5G and Honor X10 Pro 5G we expect it to come with a bigger screen and maybe better resolution, pixel density, screen-to-body ratio.
X10 5G has a triple camera system: 40 MP main shooter which will capture photos with impressive quality and a lot of details,8MP ultrawide camera that can capture 120˚, and 2MP depth camera.
We expect X10 Max to have same triple camera system (40MP main shooter, 8MP ultrawide, and 2MP depth camera). On the other hand, there is a big chance that X10 Pro will have more camera sensors.
New Honor phone has Kirin 820 5G chipset, which is a great chipset. It will handle both gaming and everyday usage easily. X10 has a Mali-G57 GPU, which is great for graphical effects. It comes in 3 variants: 6GB RAM / 64 GB storage, 6GB RAM / 128GB storage, 8GB RAM / 128GB storage. All three of them will handle multitasking easily. Storage won’t be a problem since storage is expandable through SD card.
For the X10 Max, we expect it to have the same Kirin 820 processor and it should come in same 3 variants (6GB / 64GB, 6GB / 128GB, 8GB / 128GB). On the other hand for the X10 Pro we presume it may come with a more powerful chipset and should have more storage variants.
X10 comes with a Li-Po 4300 mAh battery, which will provide more than a day of usage. It has a 22.5W fast charging technology, so it should recharge its battery in around an hour. It does not support wireless charging but it have reverse charging through USB cable.
X10 Pro and X10 Max should have a slightly bigger battery, and the Pro version may also come with faster-charging technology than the 22.5W fast charging.
Honor is a subsidiary company of Huawei, and the relationship between the two brands is complementary. As a result of a ban on trading with the US, Huawei and Honor can’t preload newly released phones with Google apps like Maps and YouTube, the Play Store or Google Assistant. New X10 phones all come with a new android 10 but without Google services. Don’t let this disappoint you, there is a chance of getting your services back, you can do in two ways with and without an USB drive.
AnTuTu is a Benchmark app for android users. It gives your device an overall numerical score as well as an overall score for each test it performs. It’s useful for comparing your device’s speed and performance with other options on the market.
According to AnTuTu scores, Huawei Honor X10 got a score of 366553 points which is great. In the picture below you can compare its performance with other models based on the AnTuTu test. X10 Pro and X10 Max scores are not available, because they are not out yet.
Which one to buy?
Honor X10 and X10 Max are pretty similar, and Honor X10 Pro will be a lot better than those two, so if you have a higher budget buy X10 Pro. If you don’t care about better cameras and chipset buy X10 or X10 Max and save some money.
